John leads companies through periods of transition and explosive growth. John held the roles of CFO and Executive Vice President of Administration and Process Improvement at US West NewVector Group. During this time, he took the company public and then assisted in the sale of the company to AirTouch Communications in 1994, which led to the company becoming the second largest wireless carrier and eventually Verizon Wireless. His other successes include NeoPath (medical devices), Personal.com (media/publishing software), and Incepta Ventures, a GE/Bechtel-backed venture fund.
Riley is a respected technologist and renowned hacker with numerous industry accolades and high profile patents. Previously, Riley worked at Cenzic, inventing significant advancements in vulnerability analysis software, including “fuzzing,” one of the most important tools in security testing today. He was also part of the team that won the DEF CON challenge, the world’s most prestigious hacking competition, three times in a row, and he continues to be engaged in the hacker community as a speaker, thought leader and mentor.
Sam is a seasoned marketer who helps companies accelerate their growth to become industry leaders. Before and after receiving his MBA from the Wharton School, Sam advised numerous biotechnology, diagnostics, cloud-based bioinformatics, and data visualization startups from inception through IPO. After moving to Seattle, Sam joined T-Mobile, where he led Sidekick products and marketing, growing its customer base to over 1 million, creating a $1B market, and championing the concept of using pop culture influencers to market consumer technology.
Rebecca leads Unium’s work in the areas of legal, corporate compliance, intellectual property, human resources and investor relations. Rebecca’s unique perspective spans experience as both a corporate attorney at Lane Powell and Dorsey & Whitney, and as general counsel with expertise in finance, M&A and emerging technology. She is a member of the Washington State Bar, has a J.D. from Georgia State University and a Masters in Law from Georgetown University.
