CoCo® Cryptographic Module 2.0

Validated Encryption for Linux Kernel

The CoCo Cryptographic Module 2.0 is a Linux loadable kernel module that provides cryptographic functions in the Linux kernel and can be used for IPsec Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP). These core ciphering capabilities protect organizations from malicious or accidental loss of data. Our Cryptographic Module features:

  • Ability to use your own Linux kernel
  • FIPS 140-2 level 1 validation
  • Integration with common package management systems

This module includes support for the following FIPS-approved encryption algorithms:

  • Advanced Encryption Standard (AES): 128, 192, and 256-bit in CBC, ECG, OFB, and CTR modes
  • Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA): SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512
  • Keyed-Hash Message Authentication Code (HMAC): SHA-1, SHA-224, SHA-225, SHA-384, and SHA-512
  • Triple Data Encryption Algorithm (TRIPLE-DES): K1, K2, and K3 independent in ECB and CBC modes
  • Galois/Counter Mode (GCM): 128, 192, and 256-bit key sizes with nonce length of 7–13 and tag lengths of 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 16

This product offers FIPS 140-2 level 1 validation (certificate number 2024) and supports Suite B Cryptographic Suites for Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) (RFC 6379).


CoCo® Secure Sockets Cryptographic Module 2.1

Validated Encryption for Linux Applications

The CoCo Secure Sockets Cryptographic Module 2.1 library, which is based on OpenSSL, provides cryptographic functions to applications. This library is compatible with the OpenSSL API and can be used for IPsec Internet Key Exchange (IKE).

Our Cryptographic Module features:

  • FIPS 140-2 level 1 validation
  • Compatibility with the OpenSSL API for Linux and Windows
  • Support for Suite B Cryptographic Suites for IPsec
  • Usability with IPsec Internet Key Exchange

All CoCo cryptography products have FIPS 140-2 level 1 validation (certificate number 2164) and support Suite B Cryptographic Suites for Internet Protocol Security (IPsec) (RFC 6379).

The core ciphering capabilities help protect organizations from malicious or accidental loss of data, and support the approved key lengths, ciphers, and modes for OpenSSL compatibility.
